Unveiling the 9/11 Fifth Plane Cover-Up: A Deeper Look at United Flight 23
For years, lingering questions have surrounded the events of September 11, 2001, prompting many to question the official narrative and the transparency of government actions, particularly in the lead-up to widespread surveillance via the Patriot Act. The mystery of the third tower’s collapse continues to fuel public inquiries. Now, we are bringing to light a previously suppressed investigation into an alleged fifth plane on that fateful day.
Our recent documentary, released on YouTube, unpacks a significant cover-up, suggesting that more was happening on 9/11 than the public was initially told. We’ve presented older footage, repackaged to reveal stunning new insights.
The Focus: United Flight 23
At the heart of our investigation is United Flight 23, a wide-bodied 767 scheduled for a non-stop transcontinental journey from New York’s JFK to Los Angeles at 9:00 AM. Aboard were 160 passengers and eight or nine crew members. Despite its significance, Flight 23 is conspicuously absent from the final report of the 9/11 Commission, even though commission records show that its staff was well aware of its existence.
Our documentary features exclusive interviews with three flight attendants and the pilot of United Flight 23, all of whom were evacuated from the plane.
Unsettling Discoveries and FBI Inaction
- Open Hatch Discovery: The pilot, Tom Manalo, stated that after leaving the airplane, they later discovered the hatch on the bottom of the plane had been opened. He described the plane as locked and sealed when he left it, indicating something inexplicable had occurred. After everyone was believed to have deplaned, it was also found that a floor hatch behind the crew cabin and under carpeting had been opened, leading to an electronics department. Another hatch opened to the underside of the plane. Manalo speculated these could have been used by someone on the ground to retrieve weapons like box cutters or for someone to stay on the plane.
- Suspicious Passengers: The flight crew recounted seeing four Arabs on the plane who were notably impatient for the flight to take off. When attendants offered food, one of the men requested to see the cockpit before takeoff.
- A Man Posing as a Woman?: Our interviews revealed that two flight attendants described the four Arabs in first class as two young men, a young boy, and a woman enveloped in a burka. Flight attendant Sandy Thornrren noted the woman in the burka. Another flight attendant was absolutely convinced this “woman” was actually a man, noting the tightness of the headdress around the eyes and observing the size of his hands, which had hair on them. “There was no doubt in my mind it was a man,” she asserted.
- Other Peculiarities: Another flight attendant noted a man in business class who was sweating profusely despite the plane being fully cooled.
- FBI Interview and Silence: The crew members stated they were interviewed by the FBI the very next day after the incident. However, they never heard back from the FBI and never found out if the suspicious individuals were questioned. An FBI agent reportedly told Manalo that there were actually seven Arabs or Muslims, possibly Saudis, on the plane.
The FBI’s Delayed Acknowledgment and Refusal to Disclose Records
For over two decades, the details surrounding United Flight 23 remained largely unknown to the public. However, in July 2023, more than 20 years after 9/11, the FBI acknowledged it was actively investigating an apparent attempt to hijack a fifth plane in Florida. While community notes on YouTube claim this wasn’t covered up, the significant delay in this acknowledgment raises serious questions about why it took so long.
Our own Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request regarding Flight 23, filed last summer, finally received a response from the FBI. The FBI acknowledged holding records about Flight 23 but stated they are exempt from public disclosure. Their reason? The records’ release “could interfere with enforcement proceedings” and “there is a pending or prospective law enforcement proceeding relevant to these responsive records and the release of the information could reasonably be expected to interfere with those proceedings”. Given the passage of so many years, we find this explanation suspicious, as it suggests a criminal investigation is approaching a decision point, more than two decades later. This refusal to disclose records, in our view, strongly suggests a continued cover-up.
Unanswered Questions and Implications
The information surrounding United Flight 23 adds another layer to the complex narrative of 9/11. The 9/11 Commission allegedly looked into the matter as early as April 2004. Yet, critical questions remain unanswered: Who were these individuals? Were they ever investigated? What exactly was going on with that flight?
This situation, at best, represents America’s greatest security failure. At its darkest, it feeds into the unthinkable: questions about whether the event was allowed to happen, or even made to happen. We believe our documentary offers crucial insights, urging viewers to draw their own conclusions about this deeply troubling chapter in our nation’s history.
