Brett Cooper’s Unstoppable Rise: From Daily Wire Breakup to Fox News Stardom!
It’s been a moment since we last checked in on Brett Cooper, and what a journey it’s been since her much-publicized departure from the Daily Wire. While the exact reasons for her breakup with the Daily Wire were never made public, it was widely believed that she saw herself destined for bigger things than what they were willing to offer. At the time of her leaving, she was arguably their biggest star, certainly a major presence alongside names like Matt Walsh and Ben Shapiro.
A Triumph of Independence
After splitting from the Daily Wire, Brett Cooper wasted no time in forging her own path, launching her independent YouTube channel, which has been performing extraordinarily well. She burst onto the scene with 1.58 million subscribers, largely gained through a significant transfer process. Her channel was first announced in December 2024, with a formal announcement on February 3rd that brought in an additional 500,000 subscribers. Since then, her subscriber growth has remained incredibly consistent, and she’s been averaging an impressive 12 million views per month.
One key to her success has been a deliberate shift away from pumping out Shorts videos. We know firsthand that while Shorts can generate massive views (Brett herself was getting 20 million views a month from them) and rapid subscriber growth (10,000 subs a week), these don’t often translate into viewers for longer-form content, which is where the real money is made. Brett clearly figured this out, as she now uploads a couple of 30-minute episodes a week, consistently pulling in 500,000 to 700,000 views per video automatically. This 30-minute format is something we’ve seen popularized by other successful independent creators like Candace Owens.
Beyond YouTube, Brett has built a thriving independent empire. She runs bretter.com and her “Cooper Confidential” membership, which offers smart pricing options like a minimum of $9 a month or a $1,500 lifetime membership. We believe she’s signed up thousands of people, generating “crazy money” and a level of success many creators can only dream of, and she’s earned every bit of it.
The Daily Wire’s Missteps
Meanwhile, back at the Daily Wire, things haven’t been as rosy since Brett and Candace Owens departed. We’ve seen Ben Shapiro’s viewership take a hit, especially since October 7th of last year, with his channel’s views at an all-time low of 25 million, down from 79 million in October. His subscriber growth has also stalled or even declined. Other Daily Wire personalities like Michael Knowles and Andrew Klavan are reportedly getting significantly lower views, sometimes as little as 5,000 to 10,000 per video.
It’s clear to us that the Daily Wire made a huge mistake with how they handled Brett Cooper’s departure. Her old show, “The Comment Section,” which she hosted from January 2022 to December 2024, has essentially been left to die. Despite having 4 million subscribers, that channel can barely get 20,000 views now. We’ve seen this happen with our own channels – leaving old videos up on a defunct channel doesn’t work with the YouTube algorithm; it’s bad business and ultimately cooks the channel.
Fox News Comes Calling: A New Chapter
In what can only be seen as the ultimate “last laugh” for Brett Cooper, Fox News has now hired her as an exclusive contributor. At just 23 years old, she’s accomplished an incredible amount, rising to prominence from her Daily Wire days. She’ll be making her debut on “The Will Cain Show” at 4:00 PM on Wednesday.
While the average Fox News viewer is around 70 years old, an industry source suggested that Cooper’s hiring is likely aimed at attracting a younger audience. We believe this move will primarily help Fox News with clips and content on platforms like YouTube and Rumble, rather than driving a new wave of Gen Z viewers to traditional network television. After all, a Morning Consult poll found that only 27-30% of Gen Z tune into broadcast or cable news weekly; a staggering 63% get their news from social media, which is precisely where Brett Cooper built her fame.
Brett is joining a growing roster of young talent at Fox News, including fellow conservative media personality Riley Gaines, who recently posted an image with Cooper on Instagram, with both boasting their pregnant bellies. We believe this is a major move for Brett, likely involving a multi-million dollar contract. It’s a win-win for her, as she gets her content viewed by a potentially entirely new demographic. Although we don’t watch Fox News ourselves, we understand the significance of this platform for her career.
We’re proud of Brett Cooper’s success. She does great work, appears to be a normal person living a normal life, and she’s absolutely earned all of her accomplishments. While we haven’t heard official word on her “Snow White” movie, we’d assume that project is now completely off the table given this massive new endeavor. Congratulations, Brett, on your new journey!
