We’re Bringing You a Disturbing Report on the Latest Attacks Against Tesla Owners
Out there, many might have thought the hostility towards Tesla owners had subsided, but we regret to inform you, it certainly has not. In fact, these individuals have gone after perhaps some of the most unexpected targets. We’re seeing instances of instant regret for those perpetrating these acts.
One such incident involved former CNN analyst Chris Kizia. He revealed just this week that his Tesla was vandalized at his son’s soccer tournament last weekend. Imagine, you’re at a child’s sporting event, and someone is defacing cars in the parking lot. The vandalism included marking his vehicle with “Musk as a Nazi“.
Kizia shared his perspective, noting that he simply bought the car because it was cool and fun to drive. He stated it wasn’t intended as a symbol of support for Elon Musk’s role in any political administration. He found it remarkable how the meaning ascribed to owning a Tesla could change so dramatically in just five years, asking if maybe assigning such political weight to an inanimate object was misguided from the start. He also expressed frustration with the politicization of “everything,” even pointing to how eating Chick-fil-A has drawn criticism. He argued against the idea that buying a product means endorsing the founder’s views, stating that applying such a standard would make it virtually impossible to buy anything. Kizia warned that this level of extreme politics is making everyone crazy and pushing us away from recognizing our common humanity, suggesting we’d be better off finding common ground.
Frankly, we have zip, zero, nada sympathy for Kizia. He seemed surprised by this behavior, despite having, in our view, platformed and seemingly glorified this kind of rhetoric.
But the craziness didn’t stop there. In another unbelievable incident we’ve learned about, former NBA player Mark Jackson had his Tesla spit on. Jackson, who stands nearly seven feet tall, recounted the incident himself. He was leaving a dry cleaner when a man walked by, saw his Tesla, and literally “hulk spit” on the vehicle.
Thanks to the Tesla’s built-in cameras recording everything around them, Jackson has the incident on video. After spitting, the man walked towards Jackson. Jackson stopped in front of him, and the man actually ran into his chest.
Jackson confronted the man, asking why he deserved to have his car spit on. As the man looked up at Jackson, he began to visibly shake. Then, in front of numerous witnesses, the man literally started pissing his pants. Jackson emphasized, “no literally he peed on himself”.
According to Jackson, the man’s justification was simply owning a Tesla, saying he didn’t believe in what the founder supposedly believes in. Jackson’s response was clear: owning an electric vehicle he enjoys driving doesn’t require him to explain himself. He added that as a human being, nobody deserves to have their vehicle spit on. He told the man he clearly had deeper issues, then asked for an apology. The man did apologize. Jackson, showing incredible restraint, told the man to have a great day and God bless him before walking away.
We think this is incredible and frankly, so great. Jackson showed remarkable class, grace, and strength. He was the bigger person, both literally and figuratively. We believe he handled the situation correctly.
We’re calling on Mark Jackson to release the footage. We have no doubt the interaction happened, having seen similar behavior before, but we think he should make this guy famous. Perhaps call him “MCP pants”.
This behavior of vandalizing someone’s property just because you dislike the owner is incredibly lame. As we see it, you are the loser in that scenario, not the hero, and everyone knows it. Can we please knock it off with the Tesla stuff? It’s jumped the shark.
