THE INTELLECTUAL DARK WEB PLOTTING TO TAKE DOWN JOE ROGAN?!
Folks, you are not going to believe the latest absurdity making the rounds online. According to James Lindsay, a figure who seems to have faded into obscurity after a brief moment in the sun, the so-called “intellectual dark web” is now conspiring to “take out” Joe Rogan. Yes, you heard that right! Apparently, these self-proclaimed intellectuals, including names like Sam Harris, are in a tizzy because they didn’t like how a recent debate played out on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast.
It seems the crux of their outrage, something they’ve apparently been simmering about for years, is who Joe Rogan chooses to have on his show. Now, because of this latest debate, they’re allegedly plotting to somehow “take him out”. Honestly, the idea is laughable.
This whole situation seems to stem from a debate where, as some are saying, the “pro-Israel side” took a beating from the left. And instead of reflecting on the arguments, the reaction from certain corners has been to throw a tantrum, point fingers, and even accuse Rogan’s audience of being anti-semitic for him platforming “undesirables”. One side appears to be more concerned with censorship and dictating who is allowed to speak on a platform rather than engaging with the substance of the discussion.
Adding to the drama, there’s been a lot of chatter about podcaster Douglas Murray and his approach to discussing topics, with some questioning his expertise due to a lack of firsthand experience in certain regions. While some argue that having seen something firsthand is important, others point out that valuable insights can still be offered without direct personal experience. Ultimately, we believe everyone has the right to express their views without fear of intimidation.
The irony is thick. The same mainstream media that couldn’t “cancel” Joe Rogan is now supposedly going to be aided by figures like Sam Harris, who might simply choose not to appear on his show anymore. Will the world truly miss Sam Harris’s takes on the Joe Rogan Experience? We highly doubt it, especially when some of Rogan’s most popular episodes have featured figures like President Trump and Elon Musk.
Frankly, the idea of anyone “taking out” Joe Rogan is delusional. He’s self-employed! By whom exactly is he going to be taken out? It sounds more like sour grapes from individuals who are upset that they didn’t get their way in a debate and are now resorting to these kinds of dramatic pronouncements.
