Mark Ruffalo Blasts Joe Rogan Over Immigration Stance, We Set the Record Straight
Hollywood veteran Mark Ruffalo recently launched a public attack on podcaster Joe Rogan, calling him “dumb” and experiencing a “total meltdown”. Ruffalo’s outburst, which we observed firsthand, was reportedly triggered by Joe Rogan’s expressed support for President Trump and deportation policies. Posting on Mark Zuckerberg’s Threads platform, Ruffalo referenced a nearly thousand-page publication that he claimed Trump disavowed but then embraced upon returning to the White House.
We find Ruffalo’s position, given his reported net worth of $150 million, hypocritical as he “continually touts for socialism”. His choice of Threads for this pronouncement is also notable, as we consider Threads to be “dead”, its initial user numbers inflated by automatically converting Instagram users.
Our Unwavering Stance on Immigration
We want to make it unequivocally clear: we 100% and a thousand% support deportations. This isn’t a nuanced position based on individual circumstances; whether you’re a “gangbanger” or “a little old lady who makes delicious tamales and you sell them out of your trunk, you have to go”. We envision a future with “net zero migration” for a couple of decades to assess its impact on our nation.
Furthermore, the claim that individuals who enter the country illegally are “noncriminal” is utter nonsense. The very act of illegally crossing the border “makes you a felon”. This isn’t limited to any specific demographic; people from “all sorts of people” including “Chinese” are crossing our border illegally.
Debunking Project 2025 and Rogan’s Misconceptions
Ruffalo’s assertion that Project 2025 was Trump’s playbook is unfounded. Project 2025 has been “many many many times over debunked,” and Trump “completely disavowed” it. We believe this was merely “the last gasp that the Democrats had”.
Interestingly, Ruffalo’s criticisms came in response to Rogan’s own “outburst against ICE abductions occurring in blue states”. Joe Rogan, despite his recent comments, is not an “immigration hardliner”; he is a “Bernie Sanders supporter” or “close to it”. While we were pleased with his endorsement for Trump, believing it “helped push him across the finish line,” we acknowledge he’s “not some hardline Republican”.
Rogan recently declared on his podcast that “two things are insane”: “the targeting of migrant workers not cartel members not gang members not drug dealers just construction workers showing up in construction sites raiding them gardeners”. We firmly disagree with this perspective. They are “here illegally,” and there is no “zero-sum game” where only certain types of illegal immigrants are deported. The overwhelming majority of those who support immigration enforcement and deportations “don’t care if they’re only the criminals”. Every single individual who is here illegally, “every single illegal invader has to go”.
The Realities of Deportation and State Impacts
ICE agents, often “in badges and heavily armed,” have been active in various locations, including “Home Depot factories car washes and homes throughout Southern California Chicago and New York”. While Ruffalo and others lament agents “lacking a valid warrant” or “refusing to properly identify themselves,” we assert that a warrant is not needed. Claims of targeting based on “skin color” or snagging “US citizens and legal residents” are presented without evidence, and obviously, US citizens do not need to be deported.
The alleged pressure from the White House chief of staff and Steven Miller to achieve 3,000 detentions a day and mass deportations is, in our view, a step in the right direction, but still insufficient. Three thousand deportations a day is “barely over a million a year,” which would “hardly make a dent” in the estimated “40 or 50, 60 million illegals” in the country.
We believe the numbers should be dramatically higher. We advocate for “20,000 a day” and even propose using the “US military to deport these people” to “get it done”. Imagine deporting “10 million people in a year, 10 15 million”. This aggressive approach is necessary to get ahead of what the next Democrat president might do.
Furthermore, the impact of illegal immigration on state politics is significant. A state like Minnesota, a “razor thin blue state,” has a large population of Somali immigrants, and if even half were illegal, that state “would be a Republican state”.
No Special Exceptions
We also strongly oppose “stupid exceptions for people are critical of Israel”. If someone is illegal, they are illegal, and their political views “should not put you to the front or the back of the line”. The strategy should be to “round up the easiest people first,” which would naturally include criminals.
Ultimately, while some may call Mark Ruffalo a “clueless idiot” and tell him to “stick to acting”, and Joe Rogan may hold different views on deporting “non-criminals”, the solution remains simple: “just don’t enter the country illegally, it’s pretty easy to not get deported”.
