Karmelo Anthony Family Demands More Money Amidst School & NGN Controversy
What’s going on everyone? We have a pretty big update in the Karmelo Anthony case this week, as the grand jury is deciding between charges. Adding to the situation, Karmelo’s family is demanding more money. Frankly, who could blame them if people are going to keep giving it?
We’ve seen that supporters of the suspect have now raised $533,452 as of late yesterday through the online platform give Sango. However, the family is still demanding more, quietly raising the goal threshold several times to its current amount of $600,000. Over half a million dollars has been donated online to help Karmelo. We’ve seen donations, mostly ranging between $20 and $100, pour in from across the country as the case has garnered national attention. People are still giving money, even as recently as 12, 13, or 17 hours ago, while the goal has been quietly raised to $600,000.
The suspicious thing about the Karmelo fundraiser is that even though they’ve raised the goal multiple times, they have provided absolutely zero updates since then. They haven’t told people what the money is for or why they suddenly needed another $100,000 or $150,000. The last update they gave was 45 days ago, on April 15th. While they have logged in to take out money and raise the goal, they haven’t provided a single public update. The only update they ever gave was a single sentence. When you generally raise a goal, the accepted behavior is that you tell people why you suddenly need more money.
Originally, Karmelo’s parents claimed the funds raised online had been earmarked solely for their son’s legal defense, not to pay the bond. Karmelo’s mom, Kayla Hayes, administers the account. The fundraiser now says the money will be used for several purposes. While legal defense is a critical part of the journey, they want to make it clear the fund is not solely for legal expenses. The funds raised will also support a range of urgent and necessary needs like relocation, safe relocation, basic living cost, transportation, and other security measures. However, we feel they don’t actually need these things, and it’s a farce. We strongly suspect that self-hating white liberal women are donating this money.
The finances of the Anthony family have been under public scrutiny. At his April 15th bond hearing, Karmelo’s dad claimed to be struggling financially, asking a black female judge to reduce the million-dollar bond to $250,000. People believed this was a source of leniency. Yet, as Dailymale.com exclusively reported, the mom, dad, and several younger siblings were living in the luxury of a gated community in a $900,000 home in Frisco while crying poor in court. Karmelo himself has left the gated community and is now staying at an undisclosed location, according to public records.
We’ve seen everything reported online state that Karmelo Anthony’s lawyers are working pro bono. Isn’t that interesting? If his lawyers are working for free, why do they need $500,000 to $600,000 for legal fees? We think people would question that.
In a controversial decision, the Frisco ISD school district is allowing the suspect to get his high school diploma. He has been checking in with court officials via telephone as part of his home arrest conditions and does not have to go to court. People are also pointing at the alleged black female principal at the Frisco ISD school regarding this leniency. At every turn, it seems the system or those in positions of authority have chosen to give Karmelo the easiest path imaginable.
Furthermore, there seems to be an investigation into Frisco ISD and their partnership or deal with the NGN. NGN is the Next Generation Action Network, run by Dominique Alexander, who is the advocate for Karmelo Anthony’s family. Dominique Alexander is a convicted felon who assaulted his wife and baby.
We’ve requested a copy of the contract between Dallas ISD and Next Generation Action Network, but Dallas ISD is now refusing to release the contract and appealing to the Attorney General. The Texas taxpayer has the right to see how their money is being spent; what is Dallas ISD hiding? The district submitted an opinion request to the Attorney General, who shall render a decision no later than the 45th business day. We believe they are trying to obscure the truth and hide evidence by waiting until the last possible day to respond.
The whole scenario is bonkers. Meanwhile, the GoFundMe account from AAF (Austin Metaf’s family) has raised even more money than Karmelo’s fund, with $558,000 donated by 12,000 people.
We believe this is a cut and dry first-degree case with no actual self-defense. We don’t want this story to die.
