Walls Closing In? Exposé on Karmelo Anthony’s Legal Team and NGAN Reveals Unlicensed Security, Lack of Permits, and More
From our investigation here at TheQuartering, it appears the legal team and representation surrounding Karmelo Anthony are facing significant scrutiny, thanks in large part to the tireless work of Sarah Fields. We’ve uncovered evidence suggesting that Dominique Alexander, who refers to his organization, the Next Generation Action Network (NGAN), as the “biggest civil rights organization in North Texas,” is operating what we believe is a deeply fraudulent operation. It seems obvious to us that this guy is a huge fraud. We have to wonder just how much money he might be receiving from the Alan Anthony family.
One of the most alarming revelations Sarah Fields exposed is the use of what appear to be unlicensed bodyguards by Karmelo Anthony’s representation. Providing bodyguard or personal security services without the proper license is illegal in the state of Texas. We’ve seen them parading around what looks like a fake security team, which is considered a real offense here in Texas. We even witnessed Dominique Alexander’s security team allegedly attack somebody innocently dancing at Harwood Park just recently. The person was simply dancing to music, causing no harm, but one of Dominique’s guys reportedly grabbed her by the shirt and dragged her out with her hands behind her head.
Adding to the mounting issues, it was revealed that Dominique Alexander apparently did not even obtain a permit to hold that event at Harwood Park. The company managing the park had no clue anything was taking place until we inquired about it. The director who issues permits was reportedly very unhappy to learn about the event happening without their knowledge.
Dominique Alexander recently held a “remember St. floyd” protest in Dallas, which he promoted as from his “biggest civil rights organization”. However, attendance was nearly zero. We saw maybe one or two people there initially. At its peak, it seems there were only about 10 to 11 attendees, and reports suggest five of them worked for him. The only people present appeared to be his staff and a cameraman. Despite the low turnout, Dominique Alexander took the opportunity to mention our reporting and referred to us as a “fascist bigoted supremacist”. He doesn’t seem to care about being exposed as a criminal or that his organization appears fraudulent.
In response to the increasing scrutiny, the Next Generation Action Network issued an “official statement” claiming their organization has “endured a series of calculated attacks built on falsehoods, misinformation and falsified investigations”. They accused those spreading these “lies” of having “deep ties to white supremacy masquerading as journalists”. We would challenge the Next Generation Action Network to prove that claim. Show us a single tie. They also stated, “these attacks are not just about NGAN they’re about trying to silence a movement”. We saw their movement – it was 11 people in a park you didn’t even have a permit for.
Dominique Alexander also put out a statement addressing reports about Karmelo Anthony being charged as an adult. He confirmed that Karmelo was “charged in the state of Texas with first-degree as an adult” and that this “has been the reality since the beginning”. He seemed frustrated that media outlets and “conservative and supremacist online influencers” were resurfacing this narrative, calling it “false urgency and malicious intent”. We have to ask, how is stating the fact that Karmelo is being tried as an adult a false narrative or malicious? We reported on it because other news outlets were covering it, not because we claimed it had changed.
We believe Dominique Alexander is starting to panic. Sarah Fields has pointed out that he appears to be a criminal actively breaking multiple laws and that his relevance is disappearing. He thought mainstream media might protect him, but they know this story is a “stinker” and are staying away. This isn’t about exploiting pain, as NGAN claims. We are here to inform the public, and frankly, we’re looking forward to accountability for what appears to be fraudulent activities. We will continue to cover this story until we see justice served.
