Left’s ‘Hero’ Hasan Piker ‘Finds Out’ Amidst Media Scrutiny and Contradictions
On our channel, we’ve been tracking the rise of Hasan Piker, presented by some segments of the left as a new folk hero. We see him as a “himmbo” and a “propagandist” who spends his time promoting ideas to a young audience. He himself has referred to himself as a propagandist multiple times, including on the Piers Morgan show.
We’ve highlighted Hasan’s concerning past actions and statements. This includes openly calling for the life of sitting Congresspeople. He once said America deserved 9/11. He has also admitted to spending time in brothels. Our view is that he’s spent the last three years, seemingly protected by Twitch, radicalizing America’s youth rather than educating them. You literally can’t even report his stream, which is unusual for someone who called for the life of a sitting congressperson.
Recently, Hasan was reportedly detained by US immigration. While he apparently claimed it happened on the border, we noted it actually occurred in Chicago. According to his own account, the questions involved his job, whether he talks about the news or the war, and even his Twitch bans. We see this detention as the “finding out” portion of his life after “effing around”. Specifically, we pointed out that maybe the detention happened because he was playing uninterrupted “Terry propaganda” on his streams. We found it noteworthy that he was reportedly asked about Twitch bans, suggesting it was related to him “un” [censored] or “cheerleading for terror”. He even played “Terry propaganda” alongside another streamer, showing people watching and talking about how “brave” they are. We also mentioned his controversial comment labeling India a “rogue terror state” in defense of Pakistan.
The media has been trying to push Hasan, with a New York Times puff piece and an appearance on The Daily Show. He was even supposed to be on CNN but got bumped. We noted the Daily Show piece was embarrassing and garnered very few views for a channel with over 12 million subscribers. The left seems desperate for figures who appeal to masculinity and mistakenly believe physical fitness is the key factor, latching onto Hasan for this despite finding him otherwise “dumb as a box of rocks”.
A major point of criticism we’ve discussed is Hasan’s perceived hypocrisy. He preaches socialism and communism, yet lives a lavish lifestyle. This includes owning a multi-million dollar mansion in the Hollywood Hills, driving a six-figure Porsche, and wearing expensive clothes. We highlighted that people point out this contradiction – him living in a “golden tower” with expensive cars while expecting others to make sacrifices. He reportedly struggles to understand why people call him a “champagne socialist” and a fraud. We joked that this is truly how socialism works: a few people get rich while the audience giving him money thinks he’s on their side.
We also brought up his significant debate loss to Ethan Klein. Since that loss, we’ve observed him “malding” online, engaging in what we’ve called an “all-time legendary crash out”. This has included calling people like Asmongold a “cockroach” for making fun of him and retweeting a post from someone who went viral for wanting to harm Ethan Klein’s children. Despite these actions, we begrudgingly gave him credit for maximizing his platform and maximizing “the grift”.
The entire situation, from his controversial statements and the detention to his perceived hypocrisy and online behavior, seems totally emblematic of certain online figures who engage in online posturing. We liked him better when he was perhaps giving different kinds of advice, suggesting maybe he should go back to that because “at least he was being honest then”.
