Reckoning Reached: Charges Expected for Mayor, Comey Faces Scrutiny Over Cryptic Post
It appears we have finally reached a reckoning. Not only did a recent report from Attorney General Ed Martin indicate James Comey is facing potential prison time over an Instagram post, but a “woke mayor” who reportedly stormed an ICE facility is also facing charges. We discussed these developments on our channel, and frankly, we don’t care – put them all in jail. This is similar to what happened to everyone involved with J6.
Let’s start with the mayor situation. The Department of Justice is reportedly set to announce charges against Democratic Representative Lmonica Macyver as early as today for allegedly attacking law enforcement at a New Jersey ICE facility. We showed video footage where she appeared to be putting hands on and shoving with her elbow. We feel that this person should face charges. If Republicans were doing this, we hope even Democrats would call for arrests.
Then we had the situation involving James Comey. He shared an image showing seashells arranged in the sand to form the numbers 8647. While he didn’t explicitly state the meaning, Trump administration officials and some supporters interpreted it by combining the slang term “86,” which often means to eject or remove, with 47, representing Trump’s status as the 47th president. We know from the restaurant business that “86” means you’re out of stock of something or to get rid of it. We questioned if he meant this as a call to action.
Donald Trump reacted strongly, stating that Comey knew exactly what the post meant, suggesting even a child would understand. Trump interpreted the post as meaning assassination. He added that Comey, though potentially not very competent, was competent enough to understand the meaning and did it intentionally. While Comey later apologized and said he doesn’t support violence, Trump believes it’s a terrible thing, especially considering Comey’s history, calling him a “dirty cop”. Trump is 100% aligned with the view that Comey should be locked up.
Comey did delete the image. In a follow-up Instagram post, he claimed he simply saw the seashells on the beach and posted the picture, which he “assumed were a political message”. He stated he didn’t realize some folks associated those numbers with violence, saying it never occurred to him, and that he opposes violence of any kind, which is why he took the post down. However, we find that claim hard to believe.
Homeland Security Secretary Christy Nome stated on X that the issue is under investigation. She interpreted the post as Comey calling for the removal of the sitting president and confirmed that her agents and the Secret Service are investigating this as a threat and will respond appropriately. Current FBI director Cash Patel also issued a statement saying they are aware of the tweet directed at President Trump and are in communication with the Secret Service and Director Sean Curran. Patel noted that primary jurisdiction lies with the Secret Service, with the FBI providing necessary support. A Secret Service spokesperson confirmed they vigorously investigate anything that could be taken as a potential threat against their protectees.
While acknowledging the tweet could be open to various interpretations and Comey has a First Amendment right, and that “86” doesn’t explicitly mean taking someone’s life, we are not inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt if existing leadership isn’t willing to. It seems likely that given his 30 years in the FBI and federal law enforcement, James Comey would be familiar with the term “86 someone,” as it’s been around a long time and is popular, even seen at protests and on social media.
A potential legal issue for Comey is the possibility of lying to federal officials. If he claims he didn’t know what the numbers meant, this could be contradicted. There might be colleagues who could testify that he knew, or even a paper trail showing he used the phrase and everyone understood it. A jury might also question whether a seasoned professional like Comey, who hasn’t been isolated from media or law, shouldn’t know the meaning. The fact he took the post down so quickly suggests he knew he made a mistake. We believe that once posted, this type of statement can’t simply be taken back. While taking it down might mitigate a sentence, he likely still faces a problem. Perjury traps are a concern; he has to either lie or tell the truth, potentially facing jail either way. We see this as a colossal misjudgment.
We recognize some people might give him the benefit of the doubt, and we understand that. However, we are not open to it anymore. This is not how we, or anyone posting something similar about Biden or Nancy Pelosi, would be treated. While we aren’t saying he needs life in prison, we believe he did make a threat. The same goes for the mayor who stormed the ICE facility; she can go to prison too. We remember patriots at J6, not those who broke the law, but those who merely trespassed, getting four years in federal prison. Lawfare has been used against Trump for a long time. This is often why Republicans are seen as losing – they feel they are above such tactics. We believe it’s time to give these individuals a taste of their own medicine.
