Alejandra Caraballo, a left-wing transgender activist who called for the Apple and Google app stores to ban Twitter due to it’s “existentially dangerous” nature under Elon Musk’s ownership, previously tweeted a call to violent action against pro-life US Supreme Court justices.
On June 25, the day after SCOTUS released its decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, Caraballo tweeted, “The 6 justices who overturned Roe should never know peace again. It is our civic duty to accost them every time they are in public. They are pariahs. Since women don’t have rights, these justices should never know a peaceful moment in public again.”
The actual split decision was 5-4, with conservative Chief Justice John Roberts opting to join the liberal justices in voting to keep Roe on the books. The George W. Bush-appointed justice issued his own opinion, joining the conservative majority in supporting Mississippi’s 15-week abortion ban, but siding with the three liberal justices in opposing the overturn of Roe, reported NPR.
“May those justices feel the unease, insecurity, and anxiety they seek to inflict on us,” Caraballo, who is a clinical instructor at Harvard Law School, added.
Later in the thread, Caraballo posted a picture of all five justices who voted to overturn the constitutional right to abortion – Amy Coney Barrett, Samuel Alito, Brett Kavanaugh, Clarence Thomas, and Neil Gorsuch – and also included Roberts.
The tweets have since been deleted, presumably to avoid suspension due to the clear rule-breaking nature of calling to “accost” officials in public, but they were re-posted by Seth Dillon, owner of the satire site Babylon Bee.
“Here we have a call to violent action for the purpose of intimidation (i.e., terrorism) from @Esqueer_, a far-left transgender activist who accuses conservatives of incitement for thinking it’s wrong to sexualize, exploit, and mutilate children,” he wrote. “It was deleted to cover tracks.”
Dillon also pointed out that Caraballo was recently quoted in a Washington Post article on how Musk’s acquisition of Twitter to turn it into a free-speech platform has opened “the gates of hell.”
Caraballo told far-left WaPo writer Taylor Lorenz that Twitter should be banned from app stores to protect “marginalized communities.”
“Apple and Google need to seriously start exploring booting Twitter off the app store. What Musk is doing is existentially dangerous for various marginalized communities. It’s like opening the gates of hell in terms of the havoc it will cause,” the self-proclaimed “wise Latina” said.
“People who engaged in direct targeted harassment can come back and engage in doxing, targeted harassment, vicious bullying, calls for violence, celebration of violence. I can’t even begin to state how dangerous this will be,” Caraballo added, without any hint of irony.
To Caraballo, posting the faces of SCOTUS justices in order for them to “never know a peaceful moment in public again” apparently doesn’t fall under the category of “targeted harassment” or “calls for violence.”
