Radical Leftist Attacks Jewish Couple in DC, Links Drawn to Online Rhetoric
Today is poised to be a significant day in the online political sphere, especially concerning figures like Hasan. We have seen yet another incident involving a seemingly prototypical viewer of such content committing a heinous act. Last night in Washington D.C., a man, whom we see as a loser and a communist, or socialist much like Hasan Piker in our opinion, decided to express his radical views through violence.
This individual went and tragically took the lives of two completely innocent people. His motive appears to be solely because they were Jewish. The victims were a young couple, reportedly getting ready to get married, and had no affiliation with the government or any political actions. Despite arguments that they might have been embassy staff, their political beliefs were unknown to the attacker. He allegedly decided to take their lives simply to disseminate his “unhinged manifesto”.
The suspect, identified as Chicago manas Rodriguez, was reportedly shouting “free Palestine” during the incident. We saw footage of him with a keffiyeh, yelling “free free Palestine,” and referencing Hamas. While he apparently made donations to a related cause, which in itself might be fine, we found that he was also associated with the Party for Socialism and Liberation and had argued against the Amazon headquarters. We also noted that he appeared to be an AOC voter. Based on his appearance, we are convinced there is “no way this guy didn’t watch Hassan”.
This incident is part of a worrying trend we have observed among radical leftists. We have seen previous incidents involving damage to Tesla cars, BLM-related activities, an attempt to burn down Josh Shapiro’s home, and the actions of Luigi Manion. We wish these individuals would harm themselves rather than targeting others. This recent event is particularly troubling.
While we don’t take sides in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and don’t find it a useful focus for Americans who are not directly involved, we do recognize that in the United States, innocent people are being targeted. We believe this war existed long before us and will continue long after, making personal obsession with it unproductive. We have no interest in what the “free Palestine” people have to say, and we are not fans of Israel or Palestine, but we are concerned about innocent lives being taken, particularly here in America. We also do not want any Israeli influence in the United States and don’t care about their wars; our focus is on domestic issues like the fentanyl crisis, homelessness, and the SSRI epidemic.
Authorities are currently examining Rodriguez’s electronics to determine how he was radicalized. Sources indicate his writings “practically reads like something Hassan would write,” further suggesting he was a Hassan viewer. We believe this is likely the case. There is speculation that if it is confirmed he was a Hasan fan, it could have significant repercussions for Twitch. Some suggest Hasan could be arrested for his streams or that Twitch might remove him. However, we believe the idea that Hasan is legally responsible for the attacker’s actions is “categorically false,” as the responsibility lies with the individual who committed the act. Despite our view of Hasan as a “fraud loser,” we acknowledge he won’t be arrested for his streams.
We know that the CEO of Twitch supports Hasan, and reporting his streams is ineffective. Many Twitch employees also reportedly agree with him. We are seeing reports of larger political accounts picking up on this story, and we anticipate Fox News may start highlighting clips of Hasan and others from Twitch.
Disturbingly, we are seeing large portions of Hasan’s audience and the wider “free Palestine” movement supporting this attack. People are already coming out in support of the attacker. We observed a post on Blue Sky from someone agreeing with what happened, stating that taking others’ lives has never liberated anyone, but that Israelis must be made to feel “unwelcome and unsafe everywhere as long as they occupy Palestine”. We consider people with a watermelon in their social media profiles to be identifying themselves as “free Palestine” supporters.
We previously warned that the extreme political rhetoric on Twitch, and turning a blind eye to calls for action, could reach a “boiling point” and cross over into real-world events. We believe we are now at that point. We recently saw that just two days before this incident, Hasan Piker hosted a large livestream with George Ganitz (Bad Empanada), who has allegedly urged his audience to commit “horrible things to Israelis”. We believe Hasan’s actions are leading people to do these things.
We found writings from the suspect that attempt to justify his attack against civilians. He wrote about a perpetrator potentially being a loving parent, a filial child, a generous friend, or a stranger capable of moral strength. We also saw a quote from his writings referencing the suffering in Palestine and stating that Israeli “atrocities” defy description, suggesting watching them unfold instead of reading descriptions.
We believe this movement, the “free Palestine” group, does not condemn this behavior. We do not want to hear from anyone identifying with that movement because they reportedly support targeting people simply for being Jewish in America, even though these individuals have nothing to do with what’s happening in Israel. We are clear: we don’t care about either side of the conflict; we care about Americans. If you are Jewish or Palestinian and live in America, we care about you. We want America to focus on its own people and its own problems, not get involved in conflicts in other regions. Getting involved internationally has historically resulted in people in those regions still hating Americans, and radicals still attacking us.
We anticipate seeing many “mask off” moments today from those revealing their true feelings about this incident. This situation is wild to us. We believe this could potentially be the “endgame” for Twitch and Hasan Piker.
