The prolific Twitch streamer Pokimane has found herself in the news regularly as of late, and a lot of it comes back to a recent controversy between her and another streamer by the name of JiDion, who encouraged his viewers to hate raid Pokimane’s chat. This not only resulted in a Pokimane ending her stream early so that her audience wouldn’t be similarly harassed by the raiders, but JiDion was slapped with a 14-day ban which was shortly after amended into a permanent ban, as the action is strictly against Twitch’s Terms of Service. While many have voiced their support for Pokimane following this chain of events, Ninja’s stance is a bit more complicated.
Somehow, this ban resulted in Ninja’s team threatening to sue Pokimane for defamation. This is a nebulous turn of events that even Pokimane herself seems confused about, but clips and videos of JiDion, Pokimane, and Ninja’s live feeds connect the dots to some degree.
