June 18, 2025Trump Signals De-escalation Amid Iran Tensions, Negotiations May Be Underway
This morning, President Donald Trump adopted a markedly different tone, seemingly in response to the “unhinged hysteria” and “literal fake news” that has engulfed social media platforms like X and Truth Social. We have observed a flood of “fake anonymous sources” creating a chaotic narrative of war, peace deals, and escalating conflicts, leading people we once respected to share “obviously fake news” and experience “hysterical meltdowns”.
Our viewers, and we ourselves, have long expressed a desire to avoid “long-term entanglements with the Middle East or really any other country”. Many of us supported Trump with the hope that he would bring an end to conflicts like the “Ukraine Russia stuff” and the “Israel Gaza stuff,” though neither has yet materialized despite his apparent efforts. Now, the focus has shifted to Iran, where we are “very clearly a big part” of the unfolding situation, with politicians on both sides of the aisle using “we” when discussing Israeli strikes.
Trump’s Stance on Iran’s Nuclear Program
President Trump’s consistent message, articulated for over 20 years, is clear: “Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon”. He views this as the sole objective, asserting that if Iran were to possess such a weapon, “they would use it on us and they’d use it on other people”.
However, Iran’s leader has “rejected Trump’s call for surrender,” despite Trump stating his “patience has run out”. Based on his faith, the Iranian leader is unlikely to surrender, potentially fleeing to allied nations like Qatar or Russia. He has warned that “any US military intervention will undoubtedly be accompanied by irreparable damage”. We believe this leader “can’t even beat Israel” and has a mere “3% hit rate on his super powerful missiles,” leading us to view him as a “paper tiger”.
Intensified Israeli Strikes and Signs of Negotiation
In recent developments, Iranians have “jammed the highways out of the capital in Tehran fleeing from intensified Israeli air strikes”. Israel’s defense minister, Israel Katz, stated their air force destroyed the headquarters of Iran’s internal security service, vowing to “continue to strike at the symbols of governance and hit the ayatollah regime wherever it may be”.
Despite the escalating conflict, there appears to be “some hope that there may be some peace talks going on right now”. This morning, Trump told reporters, “nobody knows what I’m going to do,” hinting at significant developments in “the next week” or “maybe less than a week”. Importantly, three Iranian military planes have reportedly “left Iran and landed in Oman,” the country actively “mediating the US Iran nuclear talks,” suggesting that “a deal may be back on the table”. While some are skeptical, questioning if these are officials fleeing, the presence of these planes in Oman for negotiations is a hopeful sign.
Trump explicitly stated, “nothing is too late” when asked about negotiations, having previously questioned, “why didn’t you negotiate with me before all this destruction”. He indicated that Iran now “wants to negotiate”.
US Involvement and Israel’s Capability
The US military has been actively involved in the Gaza conflict from its outset, providing Israel with “weapons and intelligence as well as food aid” and backing the Gaza humanitarian foundation. Furthermore, when Iran retaliated against Israeli attacks, “the US has helped Israel shoot down incoming missiles and coordinate air defense,” with “American generals been side by side with Israeli counterparts”.
However, Israel has been “very successful decimating Israel military,” targeting Iran’s “nuclear program,” “air bases,” “ballistic missiles,” and “fuel depots”. We believe “Israel doesn’t need our help” for offensive actions. We also do not believe Trump “would ever put boots on the ground” in Iran.
A significant concern is that dropping “a big bomb on a nuclear enrichment center” carries the “risk of radioactive fallout not just in Iran but also on US allies in the region”. US involvement in an offensive capacity would “escalate to the conflict in dramatic fashion,” and we do not believe Trump has the “appetite” for such an escalation.
As a channel, we are committed to not becoming “a full-blown fearmonger,” striving to maintain a level of composure for our viewers. We acknowledge that Trump operates differently from past administrations. We believe Trump “knows that he wants to negotiate and he’s happy to let Israel bomb them back even further into the stone age as long as that as long as it takes,” and we are “fine with that”. The coming days will reveal how this complex situation unfolds.
