Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is embracing a fresh perspective on corporate culture, celebrating “masculine energy” and fostering a dynamic, balanced environment at Meta.
In a lively chat with Joe Rogan, Zuckerberg shared his thoughts on the cultural shift around masculinity. “It’s great to be welcoming and create a positive space for everyone, but I don’t think masculinity has to be seen as a negative thing,” he said with a smile, reflecting on how far things have come.
As someone raised with sisters and now a proud dad to daughters, Zuckerberg emphasized his support for women while championing the importance of healthy masculinity. He credited martial arts for helping him connect with his male friends in a fun and positive way. “It’s been such a rewarding experience to have an outlet where we can bond and grow,” he shared enthusiastically.

The conversation coincided with Meta’s announcement of updates to its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. In a memo, Meta’s VP of HR, Janelle Gale, explained that the company is evolving its approach to reflect today’s legal and cultural landscape while continuing to focus on inclusivity in meaningful ways.
Zuckerberg also shared Meta’s renewed commitment to fostering open conversations on its platforms. Moving forward, the company will replace fact-checking with Community Notes, allowing users to contribute insights similar to X’s approach. “Free expression is at the heart of what we do,” Zuckerberg said, adding that Meta is excited to empower its users in shaping online discussions.
The changes reflect a broader effort to return to Meta’s roots while embracing fresh ideas. “We’re finding a way to celebrate all sides of the conversation,” Zuckerberg said, expressing optimism about the company’s path forward.
