Investigation BEGINS: Kamala Harris’s Campaign Celebrity Payments Under Scrutiny
What’s going on everyone? We’re absolutely loving what we’re seeing right now. Following charges pressed against a Democrat mayor, it appears that Kamala Harris may be facing real trouble as an investigation begins over what President Trump suggests were suspicious and large sums of money moved around to buy celebrity votes in the 11th hour of the election. It seems the walls may be closing in on her over campaign finance fraud, and we are absolutely here for it.
Newly uncovered Federal Election Commission (FEC) records, revealed by Laura Loomer and CCP Skip Tracer of Loomer Unleashed, show that Kamala Harris’s failed 2024 presidential campaign paid singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette’s company, Epiphany Productions, over $95,000. The payments, totaling $95,528, were listed as “event services and catering” and were made in November 2024, after Morissette endorsed Harris and hosted a fundraiser. Specifically, $7,528 was for catering, food, and beverages on November 15th, and $88,000 was sent on November 19th to Epiphany Productions’ New York address, where Morissette is listed as CEO and secretary.
These payments raise serious questions about potential campaign finance violations. Alanis Morissette is known for her music career but has no public history in catering or event planning. The timing and purpose of these significant payments to her company warrant further examination. While these transactions were not publicly reported during the campaign, they were reported after the 2024 election once Harris received blowback for allegedly paying celebrities for endorsements.
In our opinion, this looks very much like Kamala Harris deliberately misled the public, potentially listing a paid celebrity endorsement as catering. $95,000 for one day in catering? That’s very weird. We think she would have endorsed Harris anyway, but the payment definitely raises eyebrows.
This scrutiny comes after President Trump posted on Truth Social yesterday calling for investigations into Harris’s use of campaign funds for celebrity endorsements. Trump called for a probe into endorsements from Beyonce, Oprah, and Oprah Winfrey. He alleged that Harris engaged in a “very expensive and desperate effort to artificially build up her sparse crowds”.
We know this is not up for debate; we know this happened. We know that money was exchanging hands between her and celebrities. Harris’s campaign did pay a million dollars to Winfrey’s company, although Winfrey and her team stated she was not compensated with a personal fee. The campaign also paid Beyonce’s production company $165,000. Millions of dollars were spent on these arrangements. We believe campaign finance law needs reform, especially regarding celebrity endorsements. While getting an endorsement is fine, we don’t think politicians should be able to pay for them. This is a corrupt and unlawful way to capitalize on a broken system. Her campaign finance activity needs to be looked into. We’d argue she probably broke a law, but we’ll have to wait and see what the law says.
Beyond the campaign finance issues, President Trump has continued to target celebrity backers of his rivals, lashing out at Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen. Springsteen recently called Trump “corrupt and treasonous” during a concert. We saw a clip of Springsteen speaking against the president at a concert in England. While he’s entitled to his opinion, we don’t think it’s a great look. As Stephen A. Smith pointed out, speaking against the president that way while overseas is problematic. We wouldn’t sit in a foreign country talking about our president that way, even if we didn’t vote for him. You can touch on issues or dislike policies, but calling the president “corrupt” or “inept” on foreign soil is different, and we don’t have a problem with the president having a problem with that.
It’s sad to see how some public figures, like Springsteen and Robert De Niro, have shared their political opinions in recent years. Remember 20 years ago, when you might have thought they were geniuses? Now that they’ve started sharing their opinions, we know they’re buffoons and fools. It’s sad what they did to their legacy.
