Intruder Targets Trump’s Granddaughter at Mar-a-Lago; DNC’s Taco Stunt Fizzles; Administration Pushes for Significant Budget Cuts
We’re reporting on an alarming incident at former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, where a man scaled the towering walls yesterday. This individual, identified as Anthony Thomas Reyes, made an indecent proposal to marry Trump’s teen granddaughter, Kai. Reyes, a 23-year-old from North Texas, was discovered by Secret Service shortly after midnight on Tuesday. While Reyes claimed he also wanted to “spread the gospel,” we find this claim highly questionable and believe he is a psychopath.
Kai, who turned 18 last month, is a familiar face from Trump’s campaign trail, known for sharing her bond with her grandfather on social media. She is the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and attends school in North Palm Beach. At the time of the breach, President Trump was in Washington D.C., and his granddaughter was vacationing in the Bahamas. Just three days prior to the incident, Kai had shared a YouTube video promoting her Bahamas trip, which she also posted on Instagram. This isn’t Reyes’s first attempt to access Mar-a-Lago; he was previously issued a stern warning for trespassing on December 31, 2024, when Trump was present at the home. Reyes is currently being held at Palm Beach County Jail on $50,000 bond and has pled not guilty. We question whether mainstream media outlets like CNN or MSNBC would cover this with the same intensity if it involved a family member of a Democrat.
In other news, the Democratic National Committee’s (DNC) recent attempt to troll President Trump has spectacularly backfired on social media. The DNC parked a custom-wrapped food truck outside the Republican National Committee headquarters in D.C., using the acronym “TACO” for “Trump Always Chickens Out“. This phrase, coined by Wall Street analysts, refers to Trump’s tariff policies. DNC Chair Ken Martin stated their intention was to “bring the tacos to match” Trump. However, the stunt was met with widespread mockery from conservatives. Critics, including Washington’s Free Beacon reporter Chuck Ross and Vice President JD Vance, highlighted it as an example of the Democrats’ “lamest opposition in American history” and their struggle with messaging. Compounding the embarrassment, the DNC ran out of tacos in under an hour. A reporter from the Daily Caller, Rob McGrevy, who arrived after 1 PM, was only offered a bowl of corn, describing the stunt as “taxpayer funded cringe” and a “cheap gimmick”. This political misstep, among others, appears to contribute to the Democrats’ historically low approval ratings.
Finally, we’ve observed the administration pushing to codify cuts to various government programs, which we believe is a crucial move for the nation. We think the potential for significant budget reductions has been underestimated. Recently, the White House sent Congress a request for $9.4 billion in cuts. These proposed reductions target programs such as USAID, NPR, and PBS. We firmly believe that not wasting $9.4 billion is a significant positive step, and we hope to see continued efforts to codify as many of these cuts as possible.
