June 27, 2025Rachel Zegler’s “Sympathy Card” Play Raises Questions Amidst Career Woes
Rachel Zegler is back in the headlines, and it appears to be a calculated move. After facing massive pushback for her directorial decisions during her “Eva” performances and with her “Snow White” film being described as a total disaster, Zegler is now attempting to play the sympathy card. She wants the world to know she’s on pills and seeing a psychiatrist because people were “so mean” to her over the “Snow White” film. We find this to be very typical Hollywood nonsense.
Zegler revealed in an interview with ID magazine that her psychiatrist has seen her through “all of it,” noting that her medical doctor constantly reminded her, “What you’re going through isn’t normal”. She stated this sentence did “such wonders” for her. The 24-year-old actress also disclosed she started taking anxiety medicine, calling the decision a “gamechanger,” stating, “I wasn’t functioning and I wanted to function in a way that made me feel confident in the way that I was moving through the world”.
While we acknowledge that dealing with anxiety is no laughing matter, we have to question the truthfulness of her claims, especially as her film career has crashed and burned, and her Broadway career is being widely mocked.
Contradictions in Her “Mindset”
Besides her psychiatrist and anxiety meds, Zegler also cited her mindset as a tool for overcoming backlash. She claimed, “I think victim mindset is a choice… And I don’t choose it“. This statement immediately raises flags given her current narrative. She further added, “I also don’t choose nastiness in the face of it. I don’t choose negativity in the face of it. I choose positivity and light and happiness”.
However, this contradicts her past actions. We’ve seen her putting out wildly negative statements, openly going against her co-stars in the film, and passing around negativity.
The Real Reasons Behind the Backlash
The media often tries to gaslight you by pretending that the backlash Rachel Zegler received was primarily because she was cast as Snow White, being a non-white actress. While we admit there was some backlash for casting a brown person in the role, none of that was truly directed at Rachel Zegler herself. That narrative is a fallacy.
The negative feedback Zegler received started when she:
- Trashed the original “Snow White” film.
- Trashed her co-stars.
- Used the platform Disney gave her on X to share the “Snow White” trailer and immediately followed it up with a divisive Palestine statement. She continues to stand by her beliefs, stating, “My compassion has no boundaries. My support for one cause and not denounce any others is always at the core of who I am”.
- Made an anti-Donald Trump post on social media in 2024, stating, “I hope that no Donald Trump supporters ever know peace,” and concluding with “F Donald Trump”. She was later forced to apologize for this. Angry Disney fans threatened to boycott “Snow White” if she was not replaced.
We believe that Rachel Zegler is the sole person responsible for all the backlash she received. Her actions single-handedly tanked the “Snow White” movie. While we don’t know if the live-action remake was ever going to make a billion dollars, we can tell you for a fact it made hundreds of millions of dollars less than it should have because she simply would not promote the movie or, worse, opened her mouth and wouldn’t shut up.
Career Fallout and Future Prospects
Despite the film’s poor performance and poor reviews – it totally tanked at the box office – Zegler still took to Instagram after its premiere to celebrate it being the “number one movie in the world”.
Looking ahead, we are confident that this woman will not be starring in any major film for the next five, maybe three, years. She is, in our view, box office poison. Everywhere this woman goes, bad things seem to follow. Her career is, in our opinion, over.
Even recently, during her “Evita” performances, there was audience outrage because Zegler performed the show’s most famous song on a balcony for Londoners for free, while the paying audience had to watch the most important song on a TV livestream inside the London Palladium. Imagine paying to see a show and having the best part relegated to a screen.
