Cities Descend Into Chaos: Delivery Drivers Attacked Over Pizza, Cash While Cruise Turns Riot
What is going on, everyone? We’ve seen a disturbing trend lately, showing a wild disrespect and devaluation of human life. It feels like something has fundamentally changed, making everyday life dangerous in places that used to be considered normal. We wanted to bring you a few stories that highlight just how bad things have gotten, stories that are just getting disturbing.
We start in New York City, which frankly, we’ve said is the biggest dump we’ve ever been in. Despite what others might say about finding “right parts,” we see irrefutable evidence every day that New York City is not a safe city. A Papa John’s delivery worker, just trying to deliver two pizzas, couldn’t even do that. Disturbing footage shows a trio of individuals referred to as “teens,” but included two 18-year-olds and one 15-year-old, pummeling this worker before fleeing with two pizzas.
The attack happened at a fast food restaurant on East 24th Street near Decar Avenue at 11:30 p.m.. The incident began when they reportedly started an argument over their food order. Video showed one person leaning through the window, while others walked through the door and went behind the counter. The worker, Hussein, recounted how the situation escalated after they initially showed up to pick up a pizza ordered through Uber Eats and later returned with an empty box. He told them he needed manager permission to get them more food or a refund. Instead of waiting, they became increasingly irate and started swearing.
Hussein was dragged back through the door and thrashed inside the restaurant. He pleaded for someone to call the police or lock the door, saying he was pushed outside and the beating continued while trying to lock up. Three other customers were present but made a beeline for the door, not stopping it. For just two boxes of pizza, estimated to be $4 or $5 each, they inflicted serious injury. Hussein was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition but was still in pain and felt his head wasn’t working days later. He is now afraid of returning to work because it’s too dangerous. Think about that – it is too dangerous to deliver pizzas. Adam Machado and Sinlay Sai, both 18, along with the 15-year-old, were arrested and charged with second-degree robbery. Frankly, we expect New York City will just release them the same day.
But it’s not just New York. Just a few days ago in South Fort Worth, a Door Dash driver was stabbed multiple times. The 28-year-old driver, Jackson, had just finished a delivery around 2 a.m. on March 31st. While in a parking lot near a Waffle House, a man allegedly approached him asking for money. Jackson said he had no cash but offered to buy him food. Literally the second he opened his car door to get food, the man started stabbing him about 10 times with a knife and tried to steal his car. He told the attacker he was just trying to be nice and act out of his good nature. We wonder why anyone would try to stop and help anybody anymore. This driver, brutally attacked, has only raised a fraction of the funds seen in other campaigns.
And just this week, we saw reports of another Door Dash driver being pistol-whipped while delivering food in Louisville. It’s absolutely insane what is going on.
Beyond the attacks on delivery drivers, we saw a Carnival cruise recently descend into madness. Disturbing footage from a Carnival Cruise terminal showed fights breaking out. While people of all colors get involved in stupid stuff, it’s hard not to notice certain patterns. Reports indicate multiple altercations, including one on the basketball court that was apparently “part two” of a fight that couldn’t be let go. These are people on vacation who can’t act like normal, civilized people. All individuals involved have reportedly been banned from Carnival Cruises.
We have to ask, why has this become so commonplace? We just don’t understand why people can’t act like normal people. Is it a lack of accountability? Fatherless homes? Has this type of behavior become acceptable? We don’t have all the answers, but what we do see is mountains of evidence every day showing that it’s wild out there. This community needs more personal responsibility.
These events reinforce why we choose not to go to places like New York City or use certain services like Carnival Cruises or Spirit Airlines; the evidence of problems is overwhelming. This stuff is wild, and we hope sharing this information helps inform you.
