The reviewer even mentioned giving half the gift to their brother, claiming disappointment and feeling “manipulated into purchase an overpriced product from an online influencer”.
Crucially, the reviewer admitted that their brother, who purportedly gifted the item, follows our conservative political YouTube channel and bought the gift to support us as a political influencer. This admission strongly suggests that the negative review is not based on a genuine assessment of the product but rather on a political bias against our channel and values. Our own analysis, even utilizing AI tools like Grok, flagged the review as potentially inauthentic due to its unusual length, polished language, and the oddly specific mention of our channel’s political leanings.
This single negative review, especially from a non-verified buyer, poses a significant threat to our Amazon sales as it can be prominently displayed and deter potential customers. We have reported the suspicious review to Amazon, but the outcome remains uncertain.
