Brie Larson has broken my heart!
On the one-year anniversary of starting her YouTube channel, The Marvels star Brie Larson announces she is putting her channel on pause to return to work.
“It’s the one-year anniversary and at this exact time I’m gonna have to slow down on this,” Larson said in the video, titled “Our One Year Together…And What Comes Next!” She continued, “I can’t keep up with doing videos weekly. I gotta go back to my job, my first job, my acting job. I am sad about it. This is not the last video. I’m going to do more, it’s just, it’s not gonna be on a weekly schedule.” She concluded by thanking her subscribers and fans for joining her on this journey.
“I did not think I would hit the one-year mark on this, to be quite honest,” Larson said, who launched her YouTube channel in July 2020. “I think some of you know but I started this channel, I started thinking about it before the pandemic and it was because I needed to just like, I needed to shake it up. I needed to feel like I could just be silly and normal. This was a way of testing it out for myself more than anything else.”
While Larson doesn’t outright say what project she is filming, she has been sharing videos of her superhero workouts as she trains for her upcoming return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Captain Marvel in The Marvels, which is set to come out in November.
Larson will star in The Marvels alongside WandaVision‘s Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan. Also set to appear in The Marvels is actor Zawe Ashton as a yet unnamed antagonist. Prior to the Captain Marvel sequel, Larson will also be returning as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel for the upcoming animated Marvel anthology series Marvel’s What If…?.
Directed by Nia DaCosta and written by Megan McDonnell, The Marvels stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau. The film arrives in theaters Nov. 11, 2022.
