Trump’s Digital Betrayal: A National Citizen Database Threatens Our Freedoms
A shocking development has surfaced that we believe represents perhaps the biggest mistake of both terms of his presidency: former President Donald Trump is seemingly committed to a deal with Palantir, a Colorado-based analytics company, to assist in compiling a database of personal information on American citizens. This move, which some are calling “step one in digital ID,” is something we simply cannot abide by and view as a profound betrayal of his voters and the American people.
While we hold a deep love for many of the things Trump ran on – like helping the working class, building the wall, and ramping up deportations – this potential partnership with Palantir goes too far. The White House has reportedly contacted Palantir, co-founded by Trump supporter Peter Thiel, regarding this controversial project. Although there’s a possibility they are merely modernizing existing databases like those at the Social Security Administration or the Department of Education, we believe this is a whole other level of data compilation.
Palantir: More Than Just a Company
The alarming nature of this deal stems from Palantir’s true identity and stated goals. The company’s CEO and co-founder, Alex Karp, has openly declared their “primary goal is to set a global standard for the world behavior”. Karp has also boasted that Palantir’s software “single-handedly stopped the rise of the far right in Europe”. We know what “far right” means to these individuals – it means conservatives. Karp further noted that their Foundry product was used to distribute the COVID vaccine, implying that “most of the sensible people in the world wanted to stop the right and distribute the jab”.
This isn’t just about data modernization; it’s about Palantir weaving itself “intricately into the fabric of the whole federal government, creating a merged massive database of all of our personal sensitive data for the first time in history”. While our government has always had data on us, this marks the first time it could be merged across all agencies with the help of a third-party corporation that acts “more like an intel agency than a company”.
Furthermore, Palantir is quite literally funded by the CIA through In-Q-Tel, the CIA’s venture capital arm. This suggests that Trump, perhaps unknowingly, is employing a “proxy of the CIA to create the largest surveillance police state in American history,” potentially making the Patriot Act seem mild in comparison.
The Nightmare of a Social Credit System
The concept of Palantir setting a “global standard for the world behavior” is particularly chilling. We believe this is a direct pathway to a social credit system, similar to what we see in China. In such a system, our data profiles, including even our carbon usage, could be tied into a score that dictates the privileges we are allowed or denied. This is not a conspiracy theory; it is happening elsewhere, and it is the “nightmare vision that the psychopaths have for our future,” enabled by advanced AI and the “internet of bodies”. We are concerned about the potential for “pre-crime or thought crime scenarios” using AI to incriminate individuals for actions they never committed.
Palantir’s Role in Global Conflicts
Palantir’s involvement in war-related missions further illustrates the potential dangers of their technology. In 2024, Palantir made a deal with Israel to harness their advanced technology. This includes systems like:
- Lavender AI system: This system assigns Palestinians a numerical score from 1 to 100 based on their likelihood of being an enemy, with a 10% error rate that has been deemed “acceptable” by both Israel and Palantir.
- Habsora AI system: Meaning “the gospel,” this AI tool was created to address the “human issue of running out of targets” and can generate up to 100 targets per day.
Both these AI systems utilize Palantir’s advanced surveillance technology to track phone records, social media, and movement patterns of individuals. The company’s CEO has defended these actions, stating that the IDF is “broadly in the right”. Do we really want this kind of technology integrated into our own federal government through a third party?
A Plea for Reversal
This potential deal has caused immense dismay and a sense of betrayal among many pro-Trump voices, including ourselves. People like “Patriot Voice” and “The Hodge Twins,” prominent conservatives and Trump supporters, have voiced their strong objections, stating that “Trump flipped on us” and they “didn’t vote for this”.
We understand that Trump may not be a “big technology guy” and might have been given bad information by those around him. However, this is a massive, massive betrayal of his base. We are pleading with him to reverse this decision, as he has changed his mind in the past. We sincerely hope he hears the outcry and understands the profound implications of allowing a company like Palantir, which we believe is deeply connected to the deep state, to control such sensitive information on American citizens.
